We enjoyed planting 6000 snowdrops on Saturday. Thank you to all, including the young helpers and Jen, our local ranger, who made it all possible. Please keep an eye out for them at the end of winter on the south side of the main park.

All welcome – all ages – on Saturday 26th November at 11am to help plant several thousand snowdrop bulbs. Bulb planting tools will be provided and we should have some pairs of gardening gloves to share out, but bring your own if you have them, ditto trowels.

Youth Project

Our partnership with Action for Children in their Inspiring Scotland Challenge project has come to a successful close. For more about the achievements of the young people involved and for the legacy they have left us in the park go to the Youth Project page.

Autumn Clean Up

We had a successful clean up of the park on Sunday 16th October. A beautiful mild and sunny day brought out a number of children and parents and made us some new Friends. It is always good to hear how much the park means to so many people. As usual a gratifyingly substantial amount of rubbish was gathered up and we are really grateful to all those who gave their time.

Youth Project August-October 2011

To our huge delight many pieces of a jigsaw came together on 29th August when 14 young people, aged 16-18, who are not currently in education, employment or training, came together in the park to work to make it a more pleasurable place for younger teenagers to gather.
